The Ghana Music Industry is one of the very vibrant music industries in Africa if not the world. Since the inception of the Hiplife genre, for instance, the music industry received a huge boost and massive support all over Africa.


Currently, the Afro Dancehall artists in Ghana are counted among the best artist all over the world with the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, MzVee, Epixode, AK Songstress and the rest.
Some of these artists have been in the music industry for decades or close to a decade releasing hit after hit songs. Unfortunately, there are some renowned artists who just entered the industry with a bang! released a hit song and faded mysteriously.

ZiGi – You Say Wetin

Zigi rock the nation with “You Say Wetin” back in 2011. He even won an award at the VGMA 2012 Edition. But ever since “You Say Wetin, nothing better has been heard from him again. He completely faded from the industry after that.



Just February 2018 he accused the management of Ebony Reigns charging him a huge amount when he requested to feature Ebony on “You Sey Wetin” Remix. This was before Ebony died in the gory accident.

Nana Boroo – Ayahede

Nana Osei Bonsu aka Nana Boroo was the biggest artist in 2010 with his hit single “Ahayede”. In fact, it was the biggest song all over the nation. But vanished with his song after a year.
He has reemerged this year blaming his long music draught on broken ehart5…lol. He has promised a huge come back so we are all waiting

Eduwoji – Yenko Nkoaa

Edowuji featured Stay Jay in his hit song, Yenko Nkoaa which became a national anthem 2011. It was, in fact, his only hit song before vanished. He tried a come back with “Sheperu” but it wasn’t successful. By the way, Eduwoji and Stay Jay fought over the ownership of the song.

Dr. Slim – Ole Seke

Dr. Slim released Ole Seke in 2012 and it became an instant hit. Unfortunately, he faded with his song.

Okuraseni Samuel – Home Work

Okuraseni Samuel was a member of the TV3 Mentor show. Immediately after the show, he released his hit song “Home Work” which became an instant hit in 2013.
Well, although there were some few songs after Home Work, he never impressed as was expected. He faded with time.


Andy – Sweetie

Andy of TV3 Mentor Fame thrilled Ghanaians with “Sweetie” which got Ghanaians on their feet dancing. He featured Samini on the song.”Sweetie” was released in 2007

FBS -Oluman Boogie

The music group, FBS rocked the nation in early the 2000s. They thrilled Ghanaians with their most popular song, Oluma Boogie which got everyone dancing considering how they were very good dancers themselves. Unfortunately, after the song, they faded out.

Atom – Ye Wo Krom

The Ye Wo Krom hitmaker, Atom after a couple of years of rocking the nation is yet to release another banger. But, it’s too early to tell if he can make a great come back or not. Time will tell.
